【Exhibition Tour in the U.S.】Embark on a California Journey with King One!

2024. Oct. 31634

In addition to cultivating Taiwan’s exhibition market, King One Design has accumulated extensive curatorial experience across the globe, with strong capabilities in collaborating with multinational teams on project execution. Leveraging our rich resources in the United States, we now take you on a journey to California, one of the world’s most vibrant economic hubs.

California, the most populous state in the U.S. and the third largest by land area, is renowned for its cultural diversity, geographic variety, and dynamic industries. It is home to Hollywood, the global entertainment capital, as well as Silicon Valley, the world’s leading technology center. More than 50 of the Fortune 500 companies—including tech giants such as Google, Facebook, and Apple—are headquartered in California. With cutting-edge information technology driving investment, patents, creativity, and talent, the state has become a powerhouse of innovation and a premier destination for hosting world-class exhibitions.

The United States spans a vast territory with cultural and social characteristics very different from Taiwan. Many venues also have location-specific regulations. Partnering with a professional, experienced exhibition design company can ensure a smoother and more efficient exhibition process.

The Exhibition Journey Begins

First Stop: Anaheim in Orange County

Our first stop is Orange County, home to some of Southern California’s most affluent suburbs, boasting pristine waves and golden sands that have made its beaches a pilgrimage site for surfers. It is also the location of the world-famous Disneyland Resort, offering entertainment and relaxation for visitors of all ages.

Next, we visited the Anaheim Convention Center to attend the IEEE PES T&D Exhibition held in May. As the largest and fastest-growing power transmission and distribution exhibition in the United States, it is organized by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). Established in 1964 and held biennially, the exhibition serves as an international platform for showcasing transmission and distribution equipment, presenting advancements in energy and power research, and promoting innovation in energy technology. It sets the trends and direction for global energy and power technology.

For Chander Electronics Corp’s exhibition booth, King One Design crafted a sense of openness and grandeur with a soaring arched entrance. Strategically suspended posters enhanced visibility on the exhibition floor, while the use of the brand’s color palette strengthened overall brand recognition.

In September, the Anaheim Convention Center also hosted RE+24, organized jointly by SEPA and SEIA. As the world’s largest professional exhibition for the solar and energy storage industries, RE+ is one of the most successful and influential international trade shows. This year marked its 20th anniversary, bringing together the renewable energy sector to showcase business opportunities and educational content across solar, energy storage, hydrogen, microgrids, EV charging and infrastructure, as well as wind energy. RE+ is not only the largest renewable energy event but also a catalyst for industry innovation.

For TSGC Hongdun’s exhibition booth, King One Design employed a striking yellow-and-white color scheme to capture attention. The design highlighted the client’s innovative photovoltaic panel recycling and material repurposing technologies. Large-scale signage emphasized sustainability and resource conservation, leaving a strong and lasting impression on visitors.

Second Stop: San Diego

Next, we arrive in San Diego, located at the southern tip of California. With a tropical Mediterranean climate, the city enjoys mild winters and comfortably cool summers. Its 113-kilometer sun-kissed coastline makes it ideal for outdoor activities year-round. The Gaslamp Quarter serves as a hub for both trendy culture and historic hippie roots, while the Old Town San Diego State Historic Park—with its Spanish-style shops and hotels—represents the city’s historic heart. Traveling around the city is convenient via the trolley system, and despite being a large city, San Diego exudes the charm of a small town. Its garden-like urban landscape has earned it the reputation of one of America’s most desirable cities.

We then visited the San Diego Convention Center to attend the ATS International Conference, held in May. The event brings together professionals specializing in pulmonary diseases, critical care, and sleep disorder treatments, including clinical researchers and medical teams showcasing the latest technologies and advancements.

For HCmed’s mobile medical device booth, King One Design applied a blue-and-white color scheme to convey a fresh, professional image. Colorful lighting spheres added warmth to the medical equipment display, while the curved exhibition counters were designed to guide visitor flow efficiently, combining functionality with aesthetic appeal.

Third Stop: Long Beach

Our final stop is Long Beach, a major shipping hub in the United States. Port of Long Beach is not only the second busiest container port in the country but also one of the largest ports in the world. The city also hosts a significant oil industry, with rich reserves both offshore and underground. Long Beach combines the charm of a beach city, a university town, and a bustling commercial center. Its busy docks welcome countless visitors, while Rainbow Harbor on the southern waterfront is home to the renowned Aquarium of the Pacific, spanning approximately 2 hectares and housing over 11,000 marine animals, including fish, penguins, and sea lions.

In June, we visited the Long Beach Convention Center to attend AWE – Augmented World Expo USA, the most important annual gathering for XR professionals worldwide. The event attracted leading international XR companies, as well as numerous developers and investors.

King One Design, in collaboration with the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), planned and designed the Taiwan XR Pavilion, featuring exhibits from 14 Taiwanese companies. The pavilion employed an experiential curation approach to reflect the creativity and imagination of augmented reality, emphasizing the high-tech atmosphere of the XR industry. Cutting-edge technologies and innovative products were showcased alongside a striking light-and-shadow feature wall, drawing significant attention from both media and visitors.
