In the journey of life, there is always a door waiting to be opened, leading to exciting unknowns. King One Design was privileged to participate in the creation of the National Science and Technology Museum (NSTM) permanent exhibition, the "Explore Career And Self Through The Door", serving as the project's exhibition planning consultant. Through digital technology devices such as AR/VR, immersive projection, motion-sensing interaction, and gamified challenges, we condensed the vast world of vocational and technical education into tangible dream scenarios. This created an immersive, interactive digital public space that allows visitors to personally experience the diverse possibilities of career paths through exploration.
Public Space Design Express Report
From August 2, 2025, to December 31, 2027, the National Science and Technology Museum in Kaohsiung is bringing vocational education and career exploration to life. Each themed zone is designed around familiar, everyday settings and enhanced with digital technologies such as AR/VR, immersive projections, motion-sensing interactions, and gamified challenges.
Here, children and parents can learn by doing—together discovering the many worlds of different professions. From the home to high-tech labs, from bustling ports to futuristic cities, every interactive scene offers a hands-on, immersive experience that makes learning both fun and inspiring.

On life’s journey, there’s always a door waiting for us to open.Now, empowered by digital technology, that door has transformed into an interactive gateway—guiding us into a world where intelligence and imagination converge in extraordinary ways.
The entrance feature wall takes inspiration from the concept of a “portal door,” creating a recessed photo zone that invites visitors to step in and capture the moment. On the backdrop, beams of light stream through the doorway, casting silhouettes of various professional tools—symbolizing the vast possibilities and limitless imagination that lie beyond. This design not only draws visitors into the exhibition but also inspires them to embark on a journey of discovering future career paths.

Leveraging AR/VR, immersive projections, motion-sensing interactions, and gamified challenges, we transformed the vast world of vocational education into dreamlike scenarios within reach.
This immersive digital public space not only showcases professional knowledge but also uses everyday-life settings and interactive design to guide visitors. Here, learning happens through play and exploration, allowing everyone to understand the value of various careers while courageously reflecting on their own interests and future paths.
This “Portal Door” will continue to welcome the younger generation, leading them to discover their unique talents and passions.
