Industrial Technology Research Institute x King One Design

InnoVEX is dedicated to providing a diverse range of networking events and matchmaking platforms for tech startups, accelerating industrial innovation and growth. This year, King One Design collaborated with the Industrial Technology Research Institute to create the "TREE Startup Pavilion," featuring 20 startup teams. The pavilion's main visual—a glowing "Tech Tree"—symbolizes the convergence of Taiwanese enterprises growing and thriving within TREE, collectively showcasing cutting-edge technologies and innovative energy.

Exhibition Express

Held concurrently with COMPUTEX, InnoVEX attracts a large number of global ICT manufacturers and buyers each year.

This year, over 450 startup companies from 24 countries participated in the exhibition. InnoVEX offers startups the opportunity to connect with business partners, explore collaboration opportunities, and engage with academia and industry worldwide. Together, they delve into cutting-edge fields such as medical biotechnology, smart manufacturing, green technology, AI, and semiconductors.

King One Design is honored to have partnered with the Industrial Technology Research Institute to design the "TREE Startup Pavilion."

Under the theme of the Tech Tree, the 20 participating companies are represented as branching limbs from a single trunk, each showcasing its unique brand identity and technical expertise—connecting with the global innovation ecosystem.

This year’s InnoVEX exhibition was grandly held from May 20 to 23 at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center Hall 2, bringing together leading startup companies from around the world.

Twenty Taiwanese tech startups joined forces in a collective exhibition, with four major themed zones thoughtfully designed to maximize space and attract foot traffic.

TREE Startup Pavilion: From “Perfect Form” to “Connected Energy”

The “TREE Startup Pavilion” uses a technological forest motif as its main visual, symbolizing the growth and vitality of Taiwan’s tech startups, much like budding saplings. Designed by King One Design, the pavilion incorporates three-dimensional spatial lines to outline technological aesthetics. A layered depth is created through varying shades of green, while lightboxes and LED strips are cleverly applied to add dynamic motion and visual interest.

Replacing the traditional stage backdrop, the “perfect form” inspired by the concept of an incubator creates a more open space for the event stage. The ceiling extends outward from the stage, symbolizing the connection and energy transmission among Taiwan’s innovative tech enterprises as they move toward the global market.

Suspended balloons above the main stage serve as a high-altitude visual focal point, drawing attention from afar and enhancing brand recognition and on-site engagement. The overall design ensures visual consistency and thematic coherence, resulting in a cutting-edge, futuristic pavilion.

The TREE Startup Pavilion presents a futuristic tech style, featuring an incubator-inspired perfect form paired with flowing lights.

The stage area is furnished with comfortable cube chairs and screens, providing a space for companies to hold seminars and presentations.

The pavilion’s service desk is transformed into a stylish bar design, creating a relaxed and smart consultation space.

The pavilion’s entrance features a 3D logo, effectively capturing visitors’ attention.

The startup exhibition area features an open layout to encourage lively crowd flow and interaction.

Twenty startup booths are arranged in a fan-shaped layout, with sapling-inspired pillars interspersed in the center and positioned close to the aisles to create an open and transparent visitor flow. King One Design assists the startup teams in translating complex and technical content into clear and concise visuals and structure, helping visitors quickly grasp each company’s core values. This enables innovative ideas to be effectively seen and communicated.

The booths also include multiple meeting areas to facilitate in-depth discussions between companies and clients. A photo wall for social media check-ins incorporates the pavilion’s theme colors, combining lightboxes and distinctive icons to highlight key aspects of the exhibition.

Twenty company booths are arranged along the aisle, effectively increasing exposure and attracting crowds from all directions.

Each company booth is equipped with screens and display counters to facilitate product presentations and demonstrations.

Meeting areas are scattered throughout the startup exhibition zones, providing clients with a comfortable space for discussions.

The photo and check-in wall combines icons of varying heights with lightboxes, adding visual richness.

AI Smart Guide Device — An Immersive and Interactive Exhibition Experience

The TREE pavilion introduced an AI Smart Guide Device. The AI guide features a highly intuitive interface that clearly displays the exhibition layout and zone introductions via a mini-map. It can quickly and accurately answer visitors’ questions in real time, easing the onsite staffing burden.

The AI guide also assists in collecting exhibitor information for continuous learning and data building, enabling diverse guided tours and interactive experiences. With built-in multilingual support, it effortlessly welcomes international guests and provides visitors with an engaging and immersive exhibition experience.

The AI guide device provides on-site navigation services, meeting the marketing and tour needs of the digital information era.

The AI guide device features built-in multilingual support, capable of recognizing visitors’ voices and providing exhibition information.
